Blumat protective caps prevent your watering settings from being accidentally adjusted.
It takes some time and some skill to dial Blumats in just right. After you find the ideal settings based on the desired soil moisture content, growing medium, size of plants and pot, number of distribution dripper, temperatures and so on you adjust the valve.
So after finding the ideal setting, you want to ensure that the settings will remain. It can be very frustrating if a Blumat Dripper is accidentally adjusted and so losing your settings. This protective cap will make that much less likely to happen - just snap on top of the valve dial.
