EPHESTIA & PLODIA PHEROMONE

The Ephestia & Plodia Pheromone is a lure which is used in combination with a moth trap for monitoring and capturing male specimens of various types of moths that occur in food preparation and storage such as Meal Moth, Cocoa Moth, Fruit Moth, Raisin Moth, Tobacco Moth and Dadel Moth.

IMPORTANT
Never open the "plastic tube" type pheromone capsules, because the pheromone will have been worked out within a few days. The plastic tube is diffuse, and the pheromone diffuses slowly through the wall.

Storage and handling
Store sachets with pheromone capsules at a constant and low temperature (refrigerator).
If you want to keep the pheromones for a longer period of time, then you can store them in a deep freezer.
When stored in a deep freezer, the capsules can be kept for 2 years and when stored in a refrigerator (4-6 °C) for up to 1 year.

Remarks
During the first days after applying a new pheromone capsule, more moths / butterflies may be captured by a short-term higher release of the new capsule.
Pheromone capsules are active for about 4-6 weeks after being hung in the moth trap. Replace the capsule after 4-6 weeks.
