Plasma lamps have a spectrum similar to the daylight spectrum in the spring. They are often reffered to as being artificial sunlightlamps. Plasma lamps convert only 25% of the energy used to heat, the traditional HID lamps turn up to 75% of the energy used into heat.

The plasma lamp emits light non-stop and with a full spectrum, including UV-A and UV-B. It's ideally suited for daylight simulations in climate chambers or as a supplement for HPS lamps in daylight free production environments. Plasma lamps are ideal for the growth of plants, unfortunately they offer to little light in the red spectrum to be able to flourish plants.
