Suitable water for sampling soil
Ferro Demi Water is demineralised water for sampling soil, coco substrates and cleaning electrodes. Demineralized water or demi water is water from which all salts have been removed. These salts are usually in small amounts present in tap water. This makes tap water unsuitable for use in a chemical or biological laboratory. The removal of the disturbing ions is possible by allowing the water to boil and allowing the resulting water vapor to condense (distillation) into a reservoir. In that case, one speaks of distilled water. Because distillation is a time-consuming and energy-consuming process, Ferro Demi Water is often used.

Instructions

• Fill a measuring cup with 500 ml demineralised water;
• Fill the measuring cup with the soil and/or coco up to 750 ml;
• Stir this mixed sample well and let it rest for 24 hours;
• After 24 hours you can get the sample through a (coffee) filter;
• Measure the pH value and E.C .;
• Only the E.C. determine? That is enough to leave the paste for 15 minutes and get through a filter.

Demi Water is also suitable to supplement your battery, or to use it as water for the iron.
