NEMATODES STEINERNEMA AGAINST FUNGUS GNATS 50 MILLION 100 M²

The Steinernema are tiny nematodes that are not visible to the naked eye. The Steinerne hunts the larvae of the Fungus Gnats and once found, it invades it prey. When inside the secrete a bacteria which kills the larvae of the Fungus Gnat.

The nematodes lay their eggs in the larvae of fungus gnats. The Steinernema thrive best when the temperature is at least 13°C.

Application
The nematodes are supplied in a clay substance, which dissolves in water. This solution can be sprayed on the substrate or mixed into the water container of a aero or hydro system. Do not expose the Steinernema to bright (sun)light (nematodes are sensitive to UV radiation). full application instruction is supplied with the Steinernema.

Working
As soon as the nematodes are released they start actively searching for the larvae of Fungus Gnats fly to infect them. After infection the larvae stop feeding on the roots of the plant and die. Within the now dead larvea there will start to grow a new generation of useful nematodes that will once again start to seek out larvae to infect.

Packaging
The nematodes are supplied in a clay substance, packaged in a transparent pouch.

Storage
Nematodes can be stored for several weeks in the refrigerator at 4 to 12°C (not the freezer!). Each pack has a best before date on it.

Returns
Natural enemies can not be returned due to the fact that they are alive.
