The Slug X attracts slug and snails using beer as bait. A strong smell builds up inside the trap and the slugs/snails are lured inside by an aroma that they find irresistible! Once inside, they become disorientated and, unable to exit the trap and fall into one of three drowning wells.

The Slug X consists of a base moulding featuring three drowning wells and four 'funnelled' access points. A tight fitting lid ensures that fumes from the beer generate quickly to attract slugs/snails to their doom.

The Slug X can clear affected areas of slugs. Independent testers from The Daily Telegraph caught 147 slugs in just one night! It really does work.

Unlike many other slug traps on the market which are designed to be semi buried, the Slug X is fully portable and can be moved from place to place. The trap is equally effective when used on patios and decking.

It is also important to stress that unlike many other slug control methods, such as slug pellets, the Slug X does not use poison. Poisoned slugs are often eaten by birds and hedgehogs. The Slug X will not cause harm to other wildlife.

TIP: Start on time to catch the snails.
In spring snails lay their first ± 400 eggs through cracks under clods.
After three weeks, the eggs hatch and barely two months later they already begin to reproduce.
It is therefore important to start already in autumn or early spring to control the number of snails in your garden, to avoid a snail infestation later in the year.
